Snopals Hi Joy Card

This is a card I made using Ildi Co's "Snopals Hi" image.  I coloured with copics, chalked the background and used my Spica glitter pens to go over the red parts on his scarf & hat.  I added ribbon and some felt holly and the Joy sentiment by Hero Arts.  The paper is from The Little Yellow Bicycle Christmas Magic Collection.  I'm still making simpler cards as I still haven't unpacked most of my craft supplies.  I'm still dealing with the aftermath of the flood and it will probably still be a few weeks before everything is back to normal at my house!  The good news is that I found some great scrapbook storage organizers on sale at Michaels this weekend at 55% off so one day soon I will be all organized, YAY!

Snopals Present

Finally, I've moved and with it lots of drama which I will fill you all in with later.  First things first.....a big thank you to Ildi Co for being patient with me with my move.  I've been accepted as a design team member but am a bit behind because of the move.  I started unpacking some of my craft supplies yesterday and made this card.  It's fairly simple since I can't find half of my embellishments.  I think they are in the boxes I haven't unpacked yet.  This card was made using Ildi Co's Snopal Present which I think is just so cute.  As I said it's a fairly simple card with my limited supplies.  I used Basic Grey paper (I LOVE Basic Grey), coloured with copics & used a Stampendous "Merry Christmas" stamp as the sentiment.  I love the new Ildi Co Snopals stamps as I'm a collector of all things snowmen, I just love them and I'm sure you will to, so be sure to check them out.  Although I have told a certain friend of mine who I know will read this to stop buying me snowman stuff as I simply do not have the space......hee hee....

On to the drama.....I've been in my new condo for about a week and a little bit now and was awoken Saturday morning by a really cute guy knocking on my door at 5:30 am.  I opened the door once I realized I was standing in about 1-2 inches of water to find that he was from a restoration company.  To make a long story short my front hallway, my son's bedroom and my kitchen were totally flooded.  Some idiot (they don't know who) opened a water valve in the second floor stairwell and about 100+ gallons of water flooded into my side of the building and of course I'm one of the ones closest to the stairwell.  As of right now I've got 9 (very noisy) dryers & humidifiers spread throughout the place to try and dry it out.  I'm very lucky in that my property managers offered to put us up in a hotel if we want for a few days but my son & I are pretending it's like a game and we're camping out in my bedroom for the next few days and will hang out at friends for dinner until it's time to come home and get ready for bed.  Will this fun never end?  I'm definitely looking forward to more peaceful days :)
