New Technique - Feathering with Copics

I was so excited to find the Copic Oz Blog as it has so many good tips for copic colouring!  When I last visited they had posted a new technique called Feathering which blends two difference copic colours.  I had never tried this before so I decided to try it and I love how it turned out.  I used the technique on Tilda's shirt, shoes & the bow on her hat.  Below is the close-up:

This is the nice & simple card I made tonight with the Tilda image I coloured.  Now I know I should have kept track of which colours I used and I'm pretty sure they were BV01 & V01

I will be entering my card into The Copic Oz Challenge #4 - Feather with Me.  Be sure to check out the tutorial here if you haven't tried this before!

LOTV -Rosie Posy

Wow!!!  Two posts from me in one day??  That is definitely a record.....I don't recall ever doing that but if I have it must have been quite some time ago.  I've had this super adorable Lili of the Valley image "Rosie Posy" coloured for quite some time but never got around to making a card with it until today!  The time was perfect since over at the Lili of the Valley Challenge Blog - Week 72 Challenge is "One for the Girls".
I didn't use any design paper only Bazill Cardstock and embossed with a cuttlebug folder.  I cut out the image and scallop background with nesties and the sentiment is from a set I've had for awhile now.  I've also entered this into the challenge over at Paperplay Challenges Week 44 which is to use circles somewhere on your card (main image & brads should count).

Keep watching my blog for some blog candy coming up :)
I figured since I've had my blog for over a year now & my birthday is at the end of the month I'd put together some candy for you!!

Paper Sundaes Challenge - Let it Snow!!

Today's challenge posted over at the Paper Sundaes Challenge Blog has the theme "Let it Snow" and this week we are being sponsored by Stamp & Create!  For my card I chose to use the Kraftin Kimmie image Clara which you can pick up over at our sponsors store!   Stamp & Create carries many different stamp lines including High Hopes, The Greeting Farm, Penny Black, Whiff of Joy & so many more so be sure to stop by!
I coloured the image with copics and added stickles to her scarf & the barettes in her hair.  The snowflake was punched out using a Martha Stewart Snowflake punch and then I airbrushed it to match and added some stickles.  The sentiment is from a set I have by Hero Arts & the Snowflake & Background DP is by Dream Street appropriately titled "Wonderland - Let it Snow".  The glittery brad entered in the centre of the snowflake is by Recollections.

I will be entering my card in Stamp & Create's Challenge #7 - Tis the Season (aka Christmas or Holiday Card cause what says Christmas/Holiday more than SNOW :)

Paper Sundaes Challenge #42 - For the Boys

Happy Sundae!  Today marks Paper Sundaes 42nd Challenge & it is a fun one!  The theme this week is "For the Boy's" and is being sponsored by Simon Says Stamp!  If you haven't shopped there you should as it really is a one-stop shop!  Be sure to play along for your chance to win a gift certificate to their store!

For my card I used the image "Skater Ian" by The Greeting Farm & made a card for my son.
It was so much fun to make!  I used paper from Bo Bunny called Xtreme Teen and coloured the image to match with copics.  I embossed the cardstock with these cool new folders by Sizzix from a pack called Plaid & Snowflakes.   I love how deeply they emboss & can't wait to use the snowflake one for some Christmas cards!  I embossed the cardstock and then wrapped one with some black twine from my stash that I have probably had since I started scrapbooking/cardmaking many years ago.  Boy was it nice to finally use it!  Other supplies used:  Glitter Brads by Recollections,  and Foam glitter stars inked with black memento ink.  Hope you like it!

Make sure you stop by the Paper Sundaes Blog to meet the new Sundae Girls!  Their work is fabulous & I'm looking forward to working with them.

My card will be entered into the following challenges:

Cards For Men Challenge #22- Anything Goes (as long as it's for a male).  This is for the only man in my life, my son!
Moving Along with the Times Challenge #70 - Card for a Child (made for my 10 year old son)

Paper Sundaes Challenge - A Natural Woman

Happy Sundae!  It's been so long since my last post and it's nice to be back creating again.  I had to take some time to focus on my son in the past few weeks and haven't been able to create & post as much as I would have liked to.  Thank you to my amazing Paper Sundaes DT girls for your support, I appreciate it more than you will ever know!

This week's Challenge at Paper Sundaes has a theme "A Natural Woman" so we would like to see anything you create which includes women & nature of some sort!  This week we are being sponsored by the fabulous Wags & Whiskers available at Stamp & Create and our DT got to choose images from the latest Wags N Whiskers Fairy Release #2 and I chose "Laila".   I have to say that I really am glad that they came out with a 2nd group of fairies because I loved the first release so much.  You can see the first set here!
Laila was coloured with copics.  This great paper is from Kaiser Scrapbook & I absolutely love this line for all the purple & green in it!  The good thing about this card is that I got to use some goodies from my stash of swapped items on SCS!  I received these fabulous punched leaves quite awhile ago so it was nice to finally use them.  Other supplies used:  Flowers by Mulberry Street, pearls, ribbon & Lavender stickles!

My card will be entered into the following challenges:

You still have time to enter Paper Sundaes DT call up until October 26th!  For more details you can check out the post here.

Hope you have a fabulous Sunday!  I'll be busy helping my son sew on his badges for his new cub uniform today!  He was invested officially into the group this past week and was so excited & proud I had to share a pic!  Isn't he cute?

Paper Sundaes Challenge - Karen's Doodles

Happy Sundae!  This week's Paper Sundae Challenge involves using something from your stash (trying for something you've had for 6 months or more)!   This week we are being sponsored by the fabulous Karen's Doodle's and are DT was lucky enough to pick an image to use for this challenge.  I chose to use the image "Pumpkins" because it reminds me of fall/thanksgiving.  I made a Thanksgiving card to give to a friend but I think this image would be perfect for place cards at a big family Thanksgiving dinner or for your pumpkin patch scrapbook layouts!
I coloured the image with copics and then sponged the background with orange ink.  The items from my stash include the DP by Daisy Bucket Designs Sweet Marabella collection is dated 2007, orange fibre by Making Memories which I've had for at least a year & the orange brads which I've had for quite a while also.   Be sure to check out the Paper Sundaes blog to see all the creations by our amazing DT!  Enjoy your Sunday!
