Paper Sundaes Challenge #24 - Birthday's with Stamp & Create!

Happy Sundae!  This week's challenge over at the Paper Sundaes Blog has a theme:  BIRTHDAYS!  Who doesn't love creating birthday cards?  We are sponsored this week by Stamp & Create & Lacey was wonderful enough to let the design team play with some of the new images from the latest Wags n Whiskers Release "Let's Party".  These images are super cute so be sure to check them out!  I used the image Buddy's Balloon for my card:

The birthday paper I used for the background was my Imaginisce line called "All Kinds of Happy - Chatty Cake, Chatty Cake.  The image was coloured with copics and I airbrushed the background but when I took the photo it kept coming out looking uneven due to my flash (and bad lighting).  I used glossy accents for the balloon and for Buddy's nose because I wanted it to look wet.  Other supplies used:  circle & circle scallop nesties, MS border punch & Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder.    My son even had some fun playing with this image, he coloured the same image and gave it to his Uncle Brian for his birthday this weekend!  I love it when he wants to colour with me!  Here is his creation:

The Stamping Boutique Blog Hop - You're Sew Sweet!

I'm so excited to be participating in this super-fun blog hop for the first time as a DT Member for The Stamping Boutique!  The theme of our hop is sewing in case you haven't guessed and the design team members are showcasing 3 different images along the way which you can pick up over at The Stamping Boutique store.  Be sure to visit every stop along the way and see all the amazing creations!  In case you didn't start at the beginning of the hop you will want to head over to Kym's blog and go from there.   If you arrived here from Heather's Blog you are on the right track!  Here is my card using the super cute image "Cynthia's Wing Repair Shop":

I coloured the image with copics and spica glitter pens and used cardstock and paper from my scraps.  Being as the theme is sewing I decided to incorporate some on my card.  Since I didn't have any pink thread I decided to use my DMC floss and handstitched the border around the outside of the card (shhh.....I NEVER said sewing was my strong point but it was fun)!  I added some buttons and pink ribbon from my stash as well!  I couldn't decide on a sentiment so I left it blank for now but I think I will add "Thanks.....you are sew sweet" when I send it out later!  Isn't this image just adorable?

Craftalicious Challenge #2 - Audrey with Birthday Cupcake

The Stamping Boutique is sponsoring another challenge this time over at Craftalicious!  Challenge #2 is to create a monotone card and here is my creation:

The image I used is from The Stamping Boutique and is called "Audrey with a Birthday Cupcake".  Isn't she a cutie?  I'm still getting used to the monotone cards so I kept this one very simple.  My cardstock is Stampin Up and so are the felt flowers.  I used some miscellaneous ribbon and brads from my stash and a SU scallop border punch.  The images was coloured with copics (E00, E11, E13, E15, E17, E19, E21, E31, E35, E37, E41, E43, E44 and E53).  The Stamping Boutique has many super cute Audrey images so be sure to check them out as I promise you they are all equally adorable!   Have a great week everyone :)

Paper Sundaes Challenge #23 - Pretty as a Princess

Happy Sundae!  I had sooooo much fun with this week's Paper Sundaes Challenge of which the theme is "Pretty as a Princess".  At first I thought I had to use a princess image for this card but quickly learned that it basically means show us your "girliest girl card".  Being as I have one son I don't have a lot of reason to make girly cards all the time.  I do however have the most adorable niece Katelyn who is super cute & I chose this image by Magnolia called "Sweet Tilda" because it totally reminds me of her!  You can pick up this image at Simon Says Stamp our monthly sponsor who carries not only tons of Magnolia stamps but many other lines like Penny Black, Greeting Farm, Whiff of Joy, MFT and so many more!  Here is my card:

All paper I used was from My Mind's Eye Totally Girl Collection & the cardstock is Bazill.  I used copics to colour the main image (RV0000, E00, E02, E11, E21, E31, E33, E35, E40, E41, R02, RV32, RV34, W2 & YG03) and used my white Inkssentials pen to add a highlight to her cheeks.  The larger flowers I used are from Wild Orchids Crafts however they were originally white but I airbrushed them in copic RV34 and then sprayed them with Pearl Glimmer Mist.  I sprayed the smaller flowers & the pine leaf punches with the Glimmer Mist as well.  The butterflies were punched using a Martha Stewart punch and I added the Queen & Co Orchid pearls to accent them.  The rhinestone swirl is from Recollections.  Isn't she just so adorable?  And here's my niece Katelyn who's even cuter :)

Princess Gwendolyn - Card Patterns Sketch 69 Sponsored by The Stamping Boutique

The Stamping Boutique is sponsoring this week's Sketch Challenge #69 over at Card Patterns Challenge Blog.  I absolutely love this sketch:

For my card I decided to use the "Princess Gwendolyn" digi image which you can pick up here.  She is also available in rubber if you prefer.  As soon as I saw this image I new I had to have her as she is simply adorable and perfect for a card for a little girl.  I coloured this with copics & cut out with my nesties.  Unfortunately I had multiple projects on the go and my workspace was a HUGE mess so all my copic colours got mixed up and I didn't keep track of them.  The design paper I used was from Best Creation Inc and it is so sparkly but I couldn't get that to show well in my photo.  I used primas with some mini pearls and a "Sweet" sticker sentiment which I stuck on to paper then cut out and used pop-up dots to raise it up.

Pink Butterfly - Fussy & Fancy Challenge Sponsored by TSB

The Stamping Boutique is sponsoring a challenge over at Fussy & Fancy Friday Challenge Blog and the theme is "monochromatic with a twist"!  The twist is that your image must include something with wings!
This is the first time I've ever created a monochromatic card so I'm not sure I've done it completely right so don't be too hard on me!  Here's my card which I created using The Stamping Boutique image "Butterfly".

I love this image it's so whimsical!  I coloured it with various pink copics and then used my pink spica glitter pen to highlight certain parts.  If anyone can give me tips on taking photos so that glitter/sparkle shows up better I would LOVE to hear them as I always have a problem capturing the shimmer!  Have a wonderful weekend everyone, happy crafting!
