Magnolia Stamp Lovers Blog - Challenge #2

While I was recently checking out a few of my favourite blogs I was sooooo happy to find a new challenge blog called Magnolia Stamp Lovers and they just posted Challenge #2 so I couldn't wait to play!  This week was a sketch challenge!  I LOVE my Magnolias and am getting quite the collection.  They are so fun and easy to colour and are so darn cute!  Check out their blog and enter for your chance to win some amazing prizes!  For this challenge you have a chance to win a subscription to Magnolia Ink Magazine :)

I used Tilda sitting with Hair Bow and coloured her with my copics (E00, E02, E31, E35, E41, E43, E44, E55, E57, B00, B02, R02) and then used my Inkssential white pen to highlight her cheeks.  I used some nestabilities that I got from my stamping pal Carla and inked the background with brown ink and drew stitching with my copic multiliner.  The design paper I used was some leftover scraps I had from a card I made earlier and is from Kaisercraft's Line "Reminiscing".  The flowers I got from a company called Wild Orchid Crafts!  They make such cute flowers and the pricing is so good.  My other stamping pal Jenny sent me some in a secret sister swap earlier this year.  The sentiment is one I've had for quite a while.

Paper Sundaes Challenge #1 - How do you top your Sundaes?

I'm so excited, I've been waiting for this day to arrive for weeks! Today is the first ever PAPER SUNDAES blog Challenge #1 (PSC1)!  When I was recently asked by Shana and Christine to join the Design Team for Paper Sundaes Challenge Blog I delightfully accepted!  This great blog posts new challenges every Sunday so be sure to check back often and play along!  The first challenge was a sketch challenge and is sponsored by Lacey over at Stamp & Create!

My first card was made using one of the stamps from The Greeting Farms "Miss Anya Love" which I first stamped in Memento and then coloured in with copics (E00, E02, E53, E55, E57, RV0000, RV09, RV10, RV19, RV29, RV32 and RV34).  I added Pink Shimmerz to the bottom part of her dress and the middle of the bows in her hair.   The paper used was from the Basic Grey Bittersweet collection.  I LOVE THIS PAPER!  The stamp, shimmerz and paper can all be found over at Lacey's website Stamp & Create so check it out!  Other supplies I used were Snowdots Cuttlebug folder, Stampin Up Pink Passion & Pixie Pink ink, miscellaneous ribbon, Making Memories "Hello" sentiment and some Dew Drops that my I received from my Secret Sister Jenny (Avery123) from Splitcoast Stampers.  Thanks Jenny :)

Before we had a sponsor for our first challenge I had already made this card below using Magnolia's Tilda with a Bunch of Roses which I coloured with my copics and spica glitter pens.  The paper and ribbon I used was all from Stampin Up and the sentiment "Just for You" is from the set "Oval All" by Stampin Up which I received over at the Cdn Express Thread at Splitcoaststampers!  The rhinestone flowers were part of my stash that I picked up at our local dollar store (I think).  Hope you enjoy my card and have fun with Paper Sundaes new Challenge Blog.  I'm already looking forward to next week's challenge :)  Be sure to check out the links (right hand side of my blog or on the Paper Sundaes Blog) to the other members of the Paper Sundaes Design Team, their work is AMAZING!

Daisy- So Sweet SN Challenge #27

Sugar Nellie's Daisy Image is one of my all time favourite images and the first Sugar Nellie Stamp I ever purchased.  I've always wanted to enter a Sugar Bowl Challenge & I finally did it!  Challenge #27 was a sketch challenge and we had to please include distressing.  For my card I used Bazill Cardstock and design paper from Kaisercrafts "Blushed" line which I love and keep buying more everytime I go to the scrapbook store.  I distressed the edges using the edge scraper from my Making Memories Distressing kit and inked the edges with dark grey ink.  I also inked the pink ribbon and around the "Daisy" image however it doesn't show well in the photo.  I had one last Top Notes die cuts left from a swap over at Splitcoast Stampers and it worked perfectly for this card.  The Flowers I used are paper flowers from Mulberry Street and the pink pearls are from Hero Arts.  I coloured Daisy with copics (RV25, RV32, RV34, E00, E02, E35, E37, E39, W2, W4, W6, W8, G82 & G85).  I used pink stickles for the centre of the flowers in Daisy's hair.    Thanks for looking :)
