The Fairies Frolic at The Stamping Boutique!

I love this image by The Stamping Boutique called The Fairies Frolic and couldn't wait to make a card with it.  Because there is so much detail in the image I kept the card very simple.
The image was coloured with copics and I added a whole bunch of pink & white rhinestones.  I was able to use up some scrap cardstock & DP from my scrap pile which is always good because I have tons of scraps!  Isn't she adorable?

I hope everyone has signed up for the new Stamping Boutique newsletter!  If you haven't be sure to head over to The Stamping Boutique Challenge Blog to sign up!  I just received my 2nd issue today and it had another fabulous freebie image of She Who Paints the Forest from Tracey's Enchantment line.   Did you also know that The Stamping Boutique Challenge Blog will be having bi-weekly challenges starting in March?  Be sure to check them out, I'll definitely be playing along!  Hope you all have a great weekend, I'm so looking forward to it!

Critter Sketch Challenge #53 - A Sketch & Ribbon

This week's Critter Sketch Challenge #53 is a sketch with a twist!  We want you to also use ribbon on your creation!  All month long our challenges have been sponsored by:

Our DT was lucky enough to use some of the digi images on our projects this month.  The sketch for this week is:
And here is my card using the Robyn's Fetish image called Lovebirds:

I tried to link it up from the site and couldn't find it :(  I coloured the image with prismacolor pencils blended with OMS and then cut it out and mounted it with pop-up dots to add dimension.  I used the heart cuttlebug folder to emboss the panel behind the lovebirds and an EK Success border punch to make the wavy lines on the card.  The image is actually a free digi ticket sentiment by SgtStamper which I cut down because I didn't think the ticket shape really worked with my card.  I also almost forgot my ribbon so added strips at the top and bottom.  Aren't these two lovebirds adorable?  Perfect for an Anniversary or an I love you type card!

Paper Sundaes Challenge #57 Masculine Colours

For our challenge #57 this week over at Paper Sundaes  we are asking you to use Masculine colours on your card.  I've been told it doesn't have to be a masculine card just using boyish colours is OK too.  I decided to make a masculine card and you would think that with having only 1 child (a boy) I would have ton's of boyish type paper but NO......so I had to go shopping :)  I picked up a large paper kit by My Minds Eye called Complete Boy so I'll be set for a while now!  Speaking of shopping.....our sponsor this week is the our monthly sponsor Simon Says Stamp and they carry so many wonderful items including the Greeting Farm image Skater Ian I used on my card:
I used a Mcgill Punch for the the tab with the sentiment and coloured the image with copics.  Have you all seen the new 2011 copic colours?  I can't wait to get my hands on them!!  I was super lucky to have won a challenge recently over at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog and was going to hold out and use my gift certificate for these however I ended up purchasing the whole set of 36 Tim Holtz distress inks so I could try my hand at watercolouring next!  I can't wait for them to arrive.  I hope you have a fabulous Sunday and play along with us in this week's challenge :)

The Stamping Boutique Spring Fever Blog Hop

Over at The Stamping Boutique we have SPRING FEVER!!  Most of us are sick of the snow & would love sunshine & flowers so we decided to host a blog hop and celebrate these things with you!

You will have to make sure you hop to every DT blog listed and comment on each post to be eligible for a fabulous TSB prize, our 4 new spring images.  You should have started the hop over at Amanda's blog so if you didn't please start there!  At the end of the hop there will be an Inlinkz where you can post your comment and from this list the winner will be randomly picked.

If you are in the middle of the hop and came here from Collette's blog you are in the right place!

The hop will run from February 19th at 12AM EST and you will have until February 20th 6PM EST to enter.

All of us at the TSB Design team used a sketch for our fabulous spring creations:

Here is my take on it:
For my card I used this fabulous Spring Image from The Stamping Boutique called: Flower Cart!  I love all the flowers!!  I'm secretly hoping Tracey designs more flower images (hint, hint Tracey)!  I coloured my image with prismacolor pencils, blended with OMS and added some sparkle with my spica glitter pens.  The paper I had was the last of my Little Yellow Bicycle paper and the butterflys were punched with my Martha Stewart Punches.  I added the sentiment but I can't remember what line it is from as I mixed up all my sets :(

Here's hoping our Blog Hop makes Spring come sooner!!  Here is the complete list for the hop just in case you get lost along the way.  Thank you for stopping by!  Your next stop on the hop is Dardi.

Paper Sundaes Challenge #56 - Sundae Bar Pick Your Toppings!!

Happy Sundae!  This week's challenge over at Paper Sundaes is once again the fabulous Sundae Bar!  Pick your toppings - 2 or more of one of the following:  pink, lace, flowers or distressing!  We would like to see at least two of these on your card or project this week.  We have a fabulous new sponsor to us at Paper Sundaes and that is:

They are offering the winner of this weeks challenge 2 Tickled Pink Digis of their choosing!  Great prize because they have some fabulous images!  Our DT was lucky enough to get to choose one to use this week & I chose Valentine Cherrie Heart:
I wanted to make something other than a card which is a little out of my comfort zone so I decorated this chipboard heart I've had for quite some time now.  All DP is Basic Grey Bittersweet Collection which I Distressed with Tim Holtz "Old Paper" distress ink.  I added some flowers & pearls and a cute ticket sentiment that was a free digi image from SgtStamper.  I also added some little butterflies from two of my Martha Stewart punches and a Lace ribbon that I also distressed with ink.  Add to that some pink & I think I hit all the toppings in the Sundae Bar!  I coloured this super cute image with a combo of copics & prismacolours.  I hope to see you playing along with us too this week :)

I will be entering this into the following challenges:

Etsy Inspired Challenge with The Stamping Boutique's Fairy Cynthia

The Stamping Boutique is sponsoring this week's challenge over at The Etsy Inspired Challenge Blog and I love these type of challenges!  We were asked to go over to www.etsy.com/shop/glowgirl16
and choose an item that inspires us and make a card or project based on that.  My card today was so much fun to make because I love the colour combo!  As soon as I saw the photo in the Etsy shop I knew it was the one.  Not only do I love the teal blue/brown combo I had the perfect paper that reminded me of the photo I chose:

And here's my card:
The background paper totally reminds me of the fabric used on the coupon organizer.  Plus I just love this image by The Stamping Boutique "I love you this much Cynthia".  Now Cynthia normally has the cutest little ballet slippers however I had a little Nestabilities crafting accident which required me to reshape/recut my image so Tracey I'm sorry I had to trim off her little feet, LOL!!  Cynthia was coloured with Prismacolour pencils and I added some Martha Stewart Glitter to her wings.  All paper is by Bo Bunny.

If you weren't aware of it The Stamping Boutique will be sending out a new newsletter called The Stamping Boutique Journal so don't forget to sign up for it.  There will be a FREE DIGI IMAGE sent with every issue & how cool is that?  Be sure to check it out here and sign up.  Signup is on the top right corner of the page.

Critter Sketch Challenge #51 - Use a Critter

I had so much fun with this challenge for Critter Sketch Challenge Blog!  The challenge this week is to make a card and use a critter!  Most of my cards have people but very rarely critters so this was fun.  To make it even better our DT is lucky enough to be using cute digi images from our sponsor this month:

I used this cool image:  Paul Penguin Sleighing:

All paper used was from Cloud 9 Design and the snowflakes were punched using a Martha Stewart snowflake punch.  I spritzed them with pearl glimmer mist for some shimmer.  The image was coloured using my prismacolour pencils and blended using odorless mineral spirits.  I'm still learning how to do this so if anyone has some great tutorials or links on colouring with this method I would love to learn more so please leave me a comment and let me know.  The sentiment is from a Kraftin Kimmies set and thought it was perfect....it looks like he is just sitting there waiting for some snow :)

I hope you'll play along with us at in the Critter Sketch Challenge this week as we would love to see your Critter Cards.  Don't forget to check out Robyn's Fetish new store for more amazing digi images!

Paper Sundaes Challenge #55 - Sweet Tilda with Magnolia

For Paper Sundaes Challenge #55 we are asking you to create something using 2 or more images and our sponsor this week is My Creative Classroom.   I hope you will check it out and play along with us!
I chose to use two Magnolia stamps (Tilda with Magnolia & Stone Wall) and masked them.  The background was hand-drawn based on another Magnolia image that I have.  The images were coloured with copics and all DP is by Bo Bunny from my scraps.

Hope you are having a great weekend!

RELAX - It's Your Day!!

I'm so excited to officially post my first card since returning as a design team member for The Stamping Boutique!!  I'm really lucky to be joining such a great, talented group of ladies!  My official introduction should be posted over at The Stamping Boutique Challenge Blog today too so be sure to check it out!
This TSB digital image is "Princess Jennifer Latte Bubble Bath" and I coloured her with Prismacolour pencils and blended with odorless mineral spirits.  I love the Princess Jennifer Latte images and the newest one "Princess Jennifer Latte Heartbreaker" is perfect for Valentines!  I added Polar White Flower soft because I wanted to make it look like real bubbles and I really love the effect.  I took a close-up picture as well:
To be perfectly honest FLOWER SOFT scares me because I've only used it once before but I love how it looks like real bubbles!  I typed up the sentiment on my computer and cut out and mounted using nesties.  I embossed the cardstock with a cuttlebug embossing folder, added a punched border, ribbon, and brads & that's it!  I think it will be a perfect card to hold a gift card for a spa or something like that as a birthday gift.

I'm going away this weekend however The Stamping Boutique is hosting a Digi Day on SATURDAY over at Paper Craft Planet:
