AND YOU MUST INCLUDE JEWELS ON YOUR CREATION!

Here is my take on the sketch:

I used the Sweet Pea image "Love is Gone" from the Ching-Chou Kiuk's Fantasy Art Collection available at Paper Jewels.  She was coloured with copics (YG0000, YG21, Y11, YR21, YR24, YG95, YG97, YG67, YG13, YG23, YG03, G88, E33, E35, E49, E39, R37, R22, R02, E00, E11 and C00).  All paper was from My Minds Eye Bohemia Line and the jewel brads are from Recollections which I picked up from our local Michaels store.  I've had the "Thinking of You" sentiment for many years and unfortunately don't know the manufacturer!   Thanks for visiting my blog and playing along!  Be sure to continue on to Audrey's blog and see what amazing creation she has in store for you!

Paper Sundaes Challenge #11 - Photo Inspiration

Happy Sundae!  This week's challenge over at Paper Sundaes is a photo inspiration challenge.  I've never done a photo inspiration challenge so this was another first for me!  The photo that our card had to be inspired by was this:
The design team used Sweet Pea Ching-Chou Kiuks images from the Fantasy Art Collection which you can pick up at Paper Jewels.  I chose the image "It's My Birthday" and based my card on the colours I saw in this image that inspired me which was purple/pink, yellow & blue.  Here is my card:
I coloured the image with copics (B0000, B00, E00, E02, E41, YR21, YR23, YR24, RV32, RV34, RV09, V12, V17, R02, Y11) and used my spica glitter pens (I love these) in Pink, Lemon & Lavender to add glitter to her wings, top, the purple candle and all the yellow stars.  I really wish I could get the glitter to show up better in photos.  All paper used was Basic Grey and I used a Martha Stewart Punch for the middle strip of the card & added a few dew drops to the corners.  Be sure to check out Paper Sundaes for the rest of our Design Teams amazing creations & be sure to play along with us this week for your chance to win some Sweet Pea Stamps of your own!  I will also be entering my card into the Flutter By Wednesday Challenge.  This week it is an open challenge and be sure to use an image with wings (a butterfly, fairy or angel)!

Paper Jewels - Purple Woods

It's Friday which means I get to share another one of my Paper Jewels card creations with you.  Sadly it will be my last one for this month but I'll be back again in May :)  For my card this week I chose to use another Sweet Pea Stamp called "Purple Woods" which you can pick up over at the Paper Jewels store.  Be sure to check out the store as Jenny is now carrying stamps from CC Designs!
I coloured her with copics and then used my clear spica glitter pen to go over her blue dress to add some sparkle.  The papers I used were from My Minds Eye "Bohemia" line and I added a few dew drops as embellishment.   I have to say that these stamps are so much fun to colour.  Have a great Friday!

Happy Mimosa

I love this image by Bildmalarna called "Happy Mimosa", it's just too adorable.  I got mine from Jenny's store "Paper Jewels".  Thanks to the current Paper Sundaes Challenge I'm now addicted to paper piecing :)  Mimosa's dress is paper pieced.  I used all Stampin Up design paper for this card and coloured Mimosa with copics and used my pink spica glitter pen to colour in her headband, bows and slippers.  I also punched some flowers using another SU punch and added some dew drops and ribbon for added embellishment.  I will be entering my card in the current Roses on Paper Challenge #34 which is to use punches on your card.  Since I used the flower punch both on the front and inside my card I'm hoping I'll qualify.  I left the inside blank so I can add a handwritten message later.

It's my first time ever playing in one of their challenges but definitely not the last since I just purchased more Bildmalarna's and have some Belle's & Whistle stamps on the way :)  Wish me luck!

Paper Sundaes Challenge #10 - Tweet Talk

Happy Sundae!  This weeks challenge over at Paper Sundaes was a BIG CHALLENGE for me!  The challenge was to do paper piecing which I have never even tried or heard about before.  A big THANK You to Shana who sent me some examples!

I used the most adorable image by Penny Black called "Tweet Talk" which you can purchase over at Simon Says Stamp.  I stamped the image on a Top Note Die cut and then stamped the same image on my SU designer paper and cut out the dress which was the part I wanted to paper piece!  I coloured her with copics (E00, E02, E1, E13, E15, E33, E35, E41, E55, E57, E59, R02, BG11, BG13, Y0000, Y00, Y02 & T1) and added a sentiment from the CC Designs Spring Kit.  The felt flowers I used were also from Stampin Up.

Be sure to check out the Paper Sundaes Challenge Blog for more great examples from our design team and show us your own paper pieced creations for a chance to win a Simon Says Stamp Gift Certificate!

Sweet Pea Stamps - Red Hearts

Happy Friday!  Today is my day to post over at the Paper Jewels Blog.  I chose to use one of the Sweet Pea Stamps from the Ching-Chou Kiuks Fantasy Art Collection called "Red Hearts" that Jenny is now carrying over at the Paper Jewels Store.   Mine arrived this week and I'm sooooo in love with them.  I actually had eight images that an online friend Carla sent me but I used them all up practicing so I was happy when mine arrived :)
I have to apologize for the odd camera angle, my flash kept showing up due to the glossy SU background paper.  I coloured this image with copics (E00, E02, E33, E35, E37, R02, R59, R29, R27, R24, R22, YR18, Y19, Y06, T1, T2, T3, T5, B0000, B00 & YG23).  I also coloured all the hearts with my red Spica Glitter Pen.  I used Bazill Cardstock, SU striped paper & some glittery black cardstock that I've had for a while.  The scallop ribbon was also something I've had for quite a while.  Hope you enjoy her as much as I do :)

Paper Sundaes Challenge #9 - Multi Fold Easter Card

Happy Sundae!  OK, so when I first heard that our lovely and talented Christine picked a Multi-fold Easter card for our next Paper Sundaes Challenge I was thinking is she crazy? (sorry Christine)!
However I had so much fun making this card that I cannot wait to try another one! (BIG Thank you Christine)!  I based my card on this tutorial found here.  I used a Whipper Snapper Image called "Easter Bunny Trio" and coloured it in with copics.  I used some of my stickles on the eggs however it doesn't show up too well in the photo.  Design Paper is by We R Memory Keepers & is called "Hippity Hoppity-Happy Easter".  Other supplies used were:  SU border punch and miscellaneous ribbon from my supply.  I typed up the sentiment on my computer and print it out for my card.  I'm contemplating entering my card in the Whipper Snapper Designs Papercrafting Contest which runs until the end of May.  Wish me luck!

Happy Mimosa - Paper Jewels

Happy Friday!  Today is my day to post my creations for the Paper Jewels blog.  Be sure to check it every day for new creations by our amazing design team!  I love that I get to post for you on Fridays, it's my favourite day of the week!  For my card today I used the Bildmalarna image "Happy Mimosa" which you can pick up over at the Paper Jewels Store.  I coloured her with copics (E00, E02, E21, E25, E33, E35, E37, E39, E41, R02, YG17, YG21 and YG23) and decided to pull out my Basic Grey paper and co-ordinating flower to compliment.  I also used Bazill cardstock and used my cuttlebug to emboss the background behind the image and added some ribbon from my stash.  The sentiment was from a set I recently purchased by Kraftin Kimmies.  Hope you enjoyed my card!  Have a great weekend everyone :)  Be sure to check the Paper Jewels blog tomorrow to see what April has in store for you.

Paper Sundaes Challenge #8 - Colour Challenge

Happy Sundae!  This weeks Challenge over at the Paper Sundaes Blog is a colour recipe challenge.   For your card this week you must use CTMH colours Crystal Blue, Hollyhock (pink), Sweet Leaf (green) & White or colours as close to them as possible.  Since I don't have any CTMH products I picked the closest colours I could find.
All cardstock used was Bazill, including the polka dotted one, which I think is so cute!  I used my SU corner punch, MS border punch for the lace type border and added some ribbon & flowers from my stash.  For the center of my flowers I used these awesome little buttons (by Basic Grey) which I got from Jenny (Avery123) in a secret sister swap on SCS.  The image I used was Sugar Nellies Gorjuss Girls Poppy Fields which I received from Shana in a swap recently.  She was coloured with copics (R35, R37, B21, B23, RV32, RV34, E13, E15, E17, E18, E00, E02, R02, E41, YG21 and YG23.  Be sure to check out Paper Sundaes for more details!

Mimosa Tea

Happy Friday!  I'm so excited for my first post as a Design Team member for Paper Jewels, your source for Bildmalarna stamps!  When Jenny first told me she decided to open her own store I was super excited for her.  When she picked me to be on her design team I was ecstatic!  Not only does she carry Bildmalarna stamps but she soon will be carrying Sweet Pea Stamps (Ching Chou Kiuks Fantasy Art Collection).  If you haven't seen these stamps yet you should check them out, they are simply amazing!

For my post today I chose to use the image "Mimosa Tea".  As soon as I saw this image I new I had to make a card with it.  I have friends that make the most amazing tea when I visit (mine never tastes the same) and I knew this card would be perfect for them!  I used all Stampin Up paper for my card and coloured Mimosa with copics (E00, E02, E11, E13, E15, E18, E19, E41, E43, E44, E55, E57, E59, BG11, BG13, BG15, R02, RV10, Y00 and Y02).  Other supplies used were:  Burnt Umber ink to ink some of the edges on the card, pearls for the corners and my new Martha Stewart corner and border punches.
Be sure to check back next Friday for another Paper Jewels Post by me and be sure to check out the Paper Jewels Blog to see what April has in store for you tomorrow :)
