Paper Sundaes Challenge #20 - Kraft & Blue Colour Combo

Happy Sundae :)
This week's Paper Sundae Challenge #20 is a colour combo challenge using Kraft & Blue and is sponsored by our monthly sponsor Simon Says Stamp.  For my card I used 2 stamps from a Inkadinkadoo set called "Flower Garden". which is available at their store!  I have been really sick for the past week so I kept my card nice and simple this week.   This card features a bunch of firsts for me.....first time using kraft paper, first time creating a card without colouring with copics and the first time I tried using Inkssentials Glossy Accents!
For my card I also used Bazill Kraft Paper, DP by Bo Bunny, SU border punch and my new Ranger Distress Ink "Tumbled Glass" and inchies.  The stamps are actually 1 inch square stamps that I stamped onto my inchie square and then inked over with the Tumbled Glass distress ink.  Next I added the Glossy Accents and let dry.  As I said this was the first time I ever used this product and being the impatient person that I am kept touching it to see if it was dry yet.  If you look closer you may see my fingerprints :)  Anyways, hope you are all having a great weekend.  I'm finally starting to feel a little better so I hope to get lots created this week!  Be sure to check out the Paper Sundaes Challenge Blog & play along with us this week.  We love seeing your creations!

Paper Jewels - Sweet Peas Sheet 14

Happy Friday!  I'm sad to say that this is my last Paper Jewels post for this month but I'm happy to show you the card I made with my new stamps from Paper Jewels Store.  I used one of the images from Sweet Pea Ching-Chou Kiuks Fantasy Art Collection Sheet #14.  As soon as I saw these I knew I had to have them!  They are so beautiful!
I coloured the image with copics (E00, E11, E13, E15, E17, C00, V0000, V12, R02, YG95, YG97, BV0000, BV00, BV01, BV02 & BV04) and used my Lavender spica glitter pen on the flowers and around her eye.  I even used my new copic airbrush system for the background and to colour the fleur de lis background.  You can tell I'm new at it but hey, I'm still learning!  I had a great teacher (THANKS KRISTINA)!  All cardstock is Bazill and the paper is from Kaisercraft.  Hope you like it!

The sketch I used was from Card Patterns Challenge Blog - Sketch #65.  I recently found out about this blog and LOVE it!

Be sure to check back on Sunday for another Paper Sundaes Challenge :)

Paper Sundaes Challenge #19 - Written Inspiration Spesch

Happy Sundae!  It's time for another Paper Sundaes Challenge....#19 and this week we are being sponsored by Spesch Designer Stamps which I'm really excited about because they have the cutest digi images!  Did you know that our Shana is also on the Design Team for Spesch?  This weeks challenge is "Written Inspiration" so you can make a card based on a poem, story etc that inspires you or reminds you of something special.  Tracey at Spesch was wonderful and let us pick our choice of image to use for this challenge & I chose to use the image called "Fairy".  I didn't know this when I chose the image but when Tracey emailed the image to me I found out that her name is Crystal too!  HOW COOL IS THAT?

For my inspiration I chose to make a card based on a story that I remember reading with my mom as a child.  It is Thumbelina and in the version we read Thumbelina was to marry a mole which she was not happy about.  She made friends with a swallow who carried her away to avoid this marriage and placed her in a flower blossom where she met a white-winged fairy who was the King of the Flower Fairies.    He asked her to marry him and when she said yes she sprouted tiny fairy wings & became Queen of the Flower Fairies.  I thought this image was perfect for the story!  The main image was coloured with copics and spica glitter pens.  All Paper was Bo Bunny except for the cardstock which is Bazill.  I added some roses & cherry blossoms from Wild Orchid Crafts and punched some leaves and chalked them in green.  I used my scallop oval nesties and then ran it through my Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots folder and then added some dew drops to complete.  Boy am I getting lots of use out of the Dew Drops lately....again a big THANK YOU to Jenny!  Hope you enjoy her and are having a fabulous weekend!  I've prescheduled my post and am currently down at our cabin on Lummi Island so hopefully I'm getting a lot of rest & relaxation!

Love Ya! Bear Hearts by Bildmalarna

Happy Friday!  I'm so glad it is finally the weekend!  I've actually pre-scheduled my post for this week and am currently away enjoying some rest and relaxation for a few days with my son down at Lummi Island!  The card I made for today's post is a card I made for my son and plan to put it in his lunch bag one day next week when he goes to school.  Hope I don't embarrass him too much :)
I used the Bildmalarna Stamp "Bear Hearts" which you can pick up at Paper Jewels.  Isn't he just adorable?  Actually if you look really close at the header on the Paper Jewels site you will see him sitting there :)
I decided to keep this a simple card and used Bazill cardstock and embossed it with my hearts cuttlebug embossing folder.  The image is coloured with copics and the hearts with red spica glitter pens.  I added some ribbon and a quick sentiment and all complete....I know my son will love it!  Hope you have a fantastic weekend!

Paper Sundaes Challenge #18 - Magnolia Easel Card

Happy Sundae!  Time for another Paper Sundaes Challenge and this week it's #18!  This week the challenge is to create an Easel card and this was another first for me.  I had alot of fun making this and it was so easy so it's something I will definitely do again.  I used the tutorial from Splitcoaststampers available here.   The image I used is Tilda with Flower Jeans and I used pop up dots to add some dimension to the card.
All paper I used was from Bo Bunny including the "Friends are the family you choose" sentiment except for the purple cardstock which is Bazill cardstock.   The image was coloured with copics.  Other supplies used:  MS border punch, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder, Oval Nestability (THANKS KRISTINA), Kaisercraft pearls, pop up dots, Prima Flowers and rhinestone brads by Recollections.

We are being sponsored by Magnolia-Licious this week and I believe the prize is the winners choice of image from their store!  They have such a great selection of Magnolia images so be sure to check them out!  They have free shipping in Canada and the U.S. on orders over $50.00 and this was definitely something I took advantage of when I started collecting my Magnolia stamps!  Hope you enjoy my card and don't forget to check out Paper Sundaes to see the other amazing DT creations!

Paper Jewels - Dark Sirene

Happy Friday!  I'm so excited about my post today :)
I just love playing with any of the Sweet Pea Stamps available at Paper Jewels.  I find them so much fun to colour and I have to say this is one of my most favourite cards I've made in quite a while.  The image is "Dark Sirene" and I think it's such a beautiful image with the flowers in her hair & the butterflies flying around.
I coloured the image with copics and spica glitter pens and used my nesties to cut her out.  All paper is from My Minds Eye except for the cardstock with is Bazill.  Other supplies used:  SU & Martha Stewart Border punches, Leaf punch,  dewdrops & flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.   I just received more Sweet Peas today so look for more creations in the next few weeks for sure!

My card will also be entered into the Sketch 63 Challenge over at Card Patterns Blog.  I have to say I love this sketch and am sure I will use it often!

Hope you have a fantastic weekend!

Paper Sundaes Challenge #17 - Kraftin Kimmies Francesca

Happy Sundae!  It's time for another Paper Sundaes Challenge and this week we are having a sketch challenge sponsored by Kraftin Kimmie Stamps!  They have such a wonderful range of stamps but some of my favourites are the from the Moonlight Whispers line & that is why I chose Francesca for my card.  Here is the sketch:
Here is my take on it:

The background glittery paper I used is from SEI and the tag with the sentiment on it is a Nestabilities Die that I recently got.  I sponged the die cut background and placed it behind the main image & Francesca is coloured with copics (W2, W4, W6, RV10, RV32, RV34, R85, E00, E11, E13, E17, E18, E19, E41, E43 & E59).  I will be entering my card in the Stamp Something - Birthday Something Challenge.   Hope you enjoyed my card and be sure to check out the Paper Sundaes Blog and see the amazing DT creations.  We hope you join in this week and play along with us!

Sugarplums Cherry Emma - Hi Friend!

Happy Friday!  I've been looking forward to this day all week!  Not only do I get to post a card using SugarPlums Cherry Emma available at the Paper Jewels store but it's the start of the weekend.  Who doesn't love Fridays?  I'm so excited that Jenny started carrying the CC Designs stamps and couldn't wait to make a card using this image.  You can see all the CC Design Stamps that Paper Jewels is carrying here.
Isn't she so cute?  I thought that this Stampin Up paper I had would be perfect to go with this image!  I also used a SU lace border punch, my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder, miscellaneous ribbon & the "hi friend" sentiment from the CC Designs Spring Kit.  The image is coloured with copics, I just love them and can't colour with anything else at the moment :)   Be sure to check back next Friday for another Paper Jewels Creation!

Paper Jewels May Challenge - Navy, Yellow and Wine

In case you didn't know....Paper Jewels has a challenge every month and we'd love you to play along!  To visit the Paper Jewels Blog and play along with the May Challenge you can check it out HERE!  This month's challenge is a colour challenge of Navy, Yellow and Wine.  Here is my take on it:
I used the Sweet Pea Stamp Dance of the Butterfly which you can pick up at Paper Jewels.  Jenny just received in a whole bunch of new Sweet Pea Stamps recently & I want them all!  I coloured the image with copics and used my spica glitter pens to colour the butterflies and accent her hair.  Unfortunately I can't seem to master having this show up well in photos....if anyone has some good tips I would LOVE to hear them!  The paper used was from K&Company except for the cardstock which is Bazzill.  The flowers & Dew Drops were ones that I received from Jenny in a Secret Sister swap & I sprayed the flowers with Pearl Glimmer Mist.  The navy ribbon was from my ribbon stash which I believe I must have picked up from Michaels.  Speaking of Michaels did I mentioned I just purchased the Cricut Expression????  I'm so excited & I got a really good deal on it!

Happy Sundae :)
I hope everyone enjoyed last weeks blog hop and got a chance to see our amazing list of sponsors posted over at the Paper Sundaes Challenge Blog!  This week's challenge over at Paper Sundaes is a colour challenge (use Red, Green & Yellow) and is sponsored by Belles & Whistles.  I was introduced to this line of stamps by a fellow DT member and instantly fell in love & had to order some!  For my card this week I used the image "Sweet Love" which is so adorable!  Image was coloured with copic markers.
The paper I used for this were scraps I had left over so I'm not sure of the manufacturer.  I wish I had more though as I really love it.  I used my SU punch to create the lace border & added some Prima flowers & rhinestones from my growing collection!    Be sure to check out Paper Sundaes to see the other DT creations and let us know what you think of our new blog layout!   I love it!
