Paper Sundaes Challenge #6 - Distressing

Welcome to Paper Sundaes Challenge #6 which is being sponsored by Paper Jewels.  Paper Jewels is a great new Canadian Store that sells the Bildmalarna stamps and will soon be stocking Sweet Pea stamps.   If you haven't seen these yet but sure to check them out on Jenny's website!  This week the challenge was a technique and in this case it was Distressing which always seems to be a challenge for me.  About a year ago I bought the Making Memories Distressing Kit and sad to say I've only really used it twice.  I'm not sure why I haven't used it more since distressing is really quite fun!

The image I chose for this is "Mimosa with Flower Basket" and I think it's my favourite which you may be able to tell since I made a card with it already :)  I coloured her with copics (E00, E02, E11, E13, E35, E37, E39, E41, E43, E44, T2, T3, T5, Y19, V04, V05, V06, G82, R02, RV10, RV32, RV34).  I used Coredinations cardstock which I have not used before & I have to say I LOVE IT!  I used my edge distress tool along the edges of the background and then used my Martha Stewart punch for the the lace border.  I then embossed the background using my Cuttlebug Victoria Folder and sanded it so that some of the core colour (pink) showed through.  I also sanded some of the background as well.  I inked the edges of the image lightly with MM black ink and then added some flowers which I received from my secret sister Danielle & some dew drops for the centers of the larger flowers which I received from my other secret sister Jenny!  Thanks Girls :)

Be sure to check out the Paper Sundaes Challenge Blog  and play along.  A new challenge is posted every Sunday!  The prize for this weeks challenge is 3 Bildmalarna stamps!
